Data is collected by many organisations, so it is important to ensure it is well-coordinated and useful for identifying success and making decisions.

Monitoring

The extent of the 'Hinterland' will be monitored by regularly assessing the planning scheme zones and identifying any zoning amendments that have  occurred.

Reporting

The condition (extent) of the Hinterland will be reported as part of a 'catchment condition' report produced every 3 years by the Port Phillip & Westernport Catchment Management Authority. The report will include discussion of the following questions:
