Targets are the most important part of this Regional Catchment Strategy. They:
- define our collective intent and direction
- describe the environmental conditions we want to achieve for each asset
- set the parameters we will use to monitor and report.
The targets below describe the diversity and population health sought for native animals.
Targets for the diversity of native animal species
Targets for the population health of indicator species
Native animal condition has been assessed (Method and Condition) as the basis for these targets. Targets and leadership arrangements are determined in consultation with relevant departments, agencies and delegated land managers. Lead organisations are committed to achieving these targets (Leadership) and arrangements are in place to monitor and report on progress and success (Monitoring and Reporting).
